Speech Therapy Services

Helping children, adolescents and adults communicate, connect and thrive.

At Sydney Exercise Medicine, our Speech Pathologists provide evidence-based assessment, diagnosis and therapy for speech, language, communication, voice, feeding and swallowing difficulties. We work with children, adolescents and adults living with disability, neurological conditions, developmental delay and complex support needs. Therapy is individualised and goal-focused, aimed at communication, independence, confidence and mealtime participation.

Children

We help children find their voice through play-based, engaging therapy. Sessions focus on clearer speech, building vocabulary and sentences, and the early social skills that help children connect with family and friends.

Where spoken language is still developing, we introduce AAC and visual supports so every child has a way to communicate. Parents and carers are given simple strategies to keep progress going at home.

Mealtime support

Feeding, Swallowing and Dysphagia

Eating and drinking can become difficult for many reasons, including developmental disability, genetic conditions, stroke, brain injury, Parkinson's disease or ageing. We assess chewing, oral motor function and swallowing coordination, then build a plan that prioritises safety, nutrition, independence and quality of life.

We train families, carers and support workers, and work closely with dietitians, occupational therapists and medical practitioners so everyone is aligned.
